Firstly, I just want to say how amazing each and every one of you are. Whether you had ten nominated families or none, you have made the decision to give back to your community. I am someone who likes to give back, but I honestly never thought about giving sessions away at no charge. I always took some money off the price or took friend's family photos for free, but I never thought of this.
I am one of the photographers who hasn't received a single nomination :( . However! I am going to give away a free wedding! YAY. I haven't released any details but all you other wedding photographers might want to consider this as well. I know it's a lot of hard work, but there are TONS of couples out there who opt out of having photos at their weddings because they simply can't afford it.
Secondly, we had to change the way you submit your information for the blog. We didn't realize when we added the form we were using that it was only for a few hundred entries, and then we would need to pay a monthly fee. Things have quieted down some and I think simply emailing the information works fine. Please go to the "attention photographers" page for details about adding your business information to the blog.
